What is a message board?
Message boards are Internet-based forums for you to share thoughts and ideas with other users on any number of subjects. Message boards allow you to either post a comment for others to read at their convenience or reply to a comment or post someone else has made.

What is a profile and why do I need it?
While any visitor to our message boards can view posted content, only registered members can post messages or reply to existing comments. Creating a profile is fast, easy and free. Your profile tells the community a bit more about you and allows members to see all of the posts you have made.

For security purposes, creating a profile involves creating a user name and password.

Please note: By submitting any personal information in connection with your registration and using any of the ratings, reviews, and/or comments functions found on the message boards, you agree that SC Johnson may use such personal information as described in its Privacy Policy.

What if I forget my password?
Don't worry. To reset your password, click Login. Choose the option "I am already a member and would like to log in." Then, select the "Forgot your Login Name and/or Password?" link. Enter your email address and your login name or password will be emailed to you.

How do I create a topic or post a reply?
To start a new topic, choose a message board category that interests you and click Post New Topic. Type your topic header in the subject line and type your text in the message box. We suggest spell-checking your post before submitting it. Just click Spell Check. When you are satisfied with your post, click Preview to see how your post will appear when published. You can also post without previewing by clicking Post.

Are there rules or terms and conditions?
To protect the privacy of our members and the integrity of our message boards, all members must agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions, which include: Participants shall not post any material deemed offensive, that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right - without the express permission of the owner of such copyright - or that contains personal contact information.

Please note that we have the right to edit, censor, delete or otherwise modify any posted message, without notice.

Can I format the text of my posts, replies, and comments?
Yes! Just use the format buttons (enabled in your community) in the posting view. You can use small pieces of code to bold and italicize text for extra effect. To insert a smiley face, first click the smiley button and then the expression you want to use.

What are ratings?
Ratings allow you to rate a member or message board content using a star system (with one star being a post you don't find particularly useful, and where five stars indicates content you very much enjoy).

Can I run my own forum?
We appreciate your enthusiasm for the subjects covered in our message boards, but unfortunately at this time we do not allow members to run their own forums.

Can I attach a file to my post?
No. Due to file size restrictions, the ability to include attachments has been turned off for these boards.

What if I make a mistake in my post?
Don't worry. You can edit your own posts even after they've been added to the message boards. If your revisions are extensive, you should mark the post as edited to let other members know the post has changed significantly. For cosmetic changes, such as bolding, spelling or italics, it's better not to do so.
